Our hearts break every time we have to say “No” to a caller who has a pet in need of help. Recently, we have been saying “No” more and more often because we are at the limit of our ability to assist.
We cannot take another dog or cat into our protection right now.
We will not be able to help until we find loving, forever homes for some of the pets that we already have in our foster system -- like the ones featured above and in our Petfinder listings.
If you rescue a pet and do not plan to make it a permanent part of your family, about the only help we will be able to provide is advice and publicity through our wide network of friends who might be able to assist in finding the pet either temporary shelter or a permanent home.
Please do not call us to ask that we take a pet off your hands. It will break our hearts because we must say “No.”

and answering your questions on the
2nd SATURDAY of EVERY MONTH
from 11 AM to 3 PM.
Petco is on US Hwy 70 Southeast in Hickory,
across from the Hickory Furniture Mart
and behind McDonald's and the Olive Garden restaurant.

and since none of our volunteers receive any compensation,
you can be assured that virtually all of your donation
will be used to support the pets
that we rescue and place in foster care.

A big "Thank You" goes out to the MULL FOUNDATION for their 2011 grant in support of our rescued animals. Without assistance from supportive organizations like the Mull Foundation, we would not be able to sustain our rescue activities. That would mean fewer animals saved from neglect, mistreatment, illness, injury or ignorance.
